The San Marcos incarnation of Cedar Break Recording Studio is no more. It was a great little facility and we had a lot of great work that came out of it but change is the inevitable fact of life. The good news is I've returned to the property in Wimberley where it all began some 18 years ago. The studio name was inspired by the cedar break I had to clear back then to get my 70ft trailer on to the property. The good news is we are rebuilding and our new facility will be a large improvement. Look for future updates on this page. BenJaMun projects are also in the works. Audio and Sound Services

Live Sound - Service includes PA system(2100w mains,900w subs) and engineering for small to medium music events, auctions, conferences etc. We can accomodate indoor events and outdoor as well. Just let us know what kind of event your planning and we'll do our best to make it a success. Basic Rates are $200 per event(one day). We charge mileage at the rate of $.50/mile one way for events over 60 miles from Wimberley, TX.

Remote Recording - Services include 16 tracks of 20 bit digital recording on location, mixing back at our studio and basic mastering. We provide a mastered and un-mastered mix as well as a multitrack master so you can remix or remaster if desired. At the basic rate our engineer( Ben Wortham) will give his best first mix of your project. If you would like be involved at the mix stage, any time used will be charged at our hourly rate. We can interface our gear with equipment being used at live events or provide a stand alone system. We can record you at your gig, rehearsal space or even in your livingroom if thats were your music is at it's best. If you have a great band this is a fast economical way to get a quick demo or a live ambience album. All mixing and editing is done on a state of the art Digital Audio Workstation with a large suite of plugins and output at 24bit resolution. Our engineer has over 25 years experience in the business and you can be sure of a professional product.

Rates - Basic(up to five tracks mixed, all recorded) Single Live Event - $300. Additional $100/day(recording only,mixing more than five tracks at hourly rate) for extended projects. Combined Live Sound and Recording $450/single event(one day).

Hourly rate for general mixing, mastering, editing and audio restoration/post production work is $30/hour.

Our unexpected move has unfortunately delayed the release of the "Amystery" CD. The artwork is ready to go however and as soon as time and resources allow it will be available. In the mean time there are some streaming samples available below. The current project "Road Songs" will of course be on hold until the new studio is finished. If you would like to catch me live I will be at Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, Texas on most wednesday nights participating in Song Writers night starting in August.
